Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026
This policy explains how Solar Advantage, a dba of Createfirm Services Corporation ("Solar Advantage," "we," "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit solaradvantage.us or contact us. It also explains your choices and the rights California residents have under California law. Use of the site is also covered by our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
When you fill out a form, call, or email us, we collect what you choose to provide, which may include:
- Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number, and street address.
- Property and energy details: your electric utility, average monthly bill range, and whether you already have solar.
- Organization and project details: organization name and type, your role, site location, target capacity, timeline, project type and progress, and annual electricity spend.
- Anything else you write in a message or tell us on a call.
- If you take part in our fundraiser or referral program: the payment details and IRS Form W-9 information (name, address, and taxpayer identification number) needed to pay you and report payments as the law requires. We collect it through a secure electronic signing link, limit access to the people who handle payments, and use it only for that purpose.
- Your choice about calls and text messages, and a record of that choice.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the site or submit a form, our hosting provider and our systems record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the date and time. When you submit a form, we store your IP address, browser information, and the time of submission with your consent choices so we can show what you agreed to.
When you submit a form, we also record how your visit began: the first page you viewed, the website that sent you (for example a search engine or social site), and any campaign details in the link you used (for example, a link in an email or on a flyer). This is kept in your browser only for that visit and sent with your form, so we can tell which outreach works. It is not used to follow you across other websites.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to your request, review your site or property, and prepare or obtain proposals and quotes.
- To contact you by email or phone about your request, and by text message or automated call only if you agreed to that.
- To connect you with the partners described in section 3 and follow your project with them.
- To keep records of your requests and consent choices, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website, and to prevent spam and fraud.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that work on our behalf under contract, such as our customer relationship management platform, website hosting, and email and phone providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Project partners, such as licensed installation contractors, engineering and construction firms, and financing providers, when needed to answer your request or carry out your project. We share only what the partner needs for that purpose. Solar Advantage is an independent energy consultant, so once you work directly with a partner company, its own privacy policy covers the information it collects from you.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, a subpoena, or a court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Solar Advantage, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization, subject to this policy.
- With your direction or consent.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
4. Calls and Text Messages
Our forms include an optional box to agree to calls and text messages, including messages sent with automated technology or a prerecorded or artificial voice. Agreeing is never required to request information or to buy anything from us. If you leave the box unchecked, we will contact you only by email or by manually placed phone calls.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
- You can also withdraw consent for calls or texts by telling us on a call or emailing info@solaradvantage.us. We will honor your request promptly.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. This information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages.
5. Cookies and Tracking
The site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your activity on our site over time for their own purposes.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we do not track visitors across sites, the site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information in that sense.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not identify you. If we add other analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy first.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to respond to your request and manage any project or customer relationship, and then as long as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. We keep records of consent to calls and texts for at least five years after your last interaction so we can show what you agreed to. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the CCPA), may give you the following rights, to the extent it applies to us:
- Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share it.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories described in section 1: identifiers, contact and address information, commercial information about your property, energy use, and project, and internet activity information (IP address and browser data). We collected them from you and from your device, for the purposes in section 2, and disclosed them for business purposes to the recipients in section 3.
To make a request, email info@solaradvantage.us or call 866-800-8971. We will verify your request by matching information you give us with information we hold, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent's authority and ask you to confirm your identity directly.
Shine the Light (California Civil Code section 1798.83). We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
9. Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If we make a material change, we will provide notice on the site before the change takes effect.
